With the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future in mind, you are cordially invited to attend the annual Washington Crossing Toastmasters’ Christmas/Holiday Party. This year, Past, Present And Future members will be invited to join in the festivities. We won’t even pressure you to rejoin.

The party will be held on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30 PM at Chili’s Bar and Grill, 610 Commerce Road, Fairless Hills PA 19030 (215-943-5555), located near the Oxford Valley Mall, Sesame Place, and Aria Hospital.

This event will include a Christmas/Holiday Trivia Contest (with a Prize for winner), Pick-a-Gift Table Topics (details below), great foods and plenty of fellowship.

Everyone attending will have an opportunity to participate in the Pick-a-Gift Table Topics as follows:
1. Guests bring a wrapped gift, it can be a fun, gag or treasured present.
2. You select a wrapped present,
3. Open the present (look surprised and grateful), and talk about the gift for 1-2 minutes.
4. The gift is yours to keep.

Cost for the event is only $20 per person and a wrapped present for table topics (it could be a gag gift, a recycled present, or just something you want to donate to the add to the festivities). I expect that some of our more unique gifts will shows up again this year.
For the price of admission you may order anything off of the menu and a non-alcoholic drink. There will be shared appetizers. A cash bar is available. Dress is casual and/or festive.

There was a Washington Crossing Sweep today at the Area’s Speech and Evaluation contests . All three of our members won in their respected contests and will be competing at the Division Contest on April 6th.

We had a great  set of contests  at last Wednesday’s meeting.

Regina was the Contest Chair for the Evaluation contest with Karen serving as Chief Judge.   Kristina was our model speaker.   Everyone did an incredible job.

Norm, Deborah,  Thaine and Dave participated in the Evaluation contest.    When the Judging was over  Deborah Darbee came out as our first place winner.   Thaine Shetter took second place.    Congratulation to all of our candidates.

Heather was our Contest Chair for the International Speech contest and Karen our Chief Judge.    Dave, Thaine and Norm participated.

In a very close contest  Dave took first place and Thaine second.   In my opinion all the speakers were superb and we should have had a three way tie.
